Write down your vision -#InspiringNuggest with Imani-Cerrayah

Then the Lord said to me, “Write my answer plainly on tablets, so that a runner can carry the correct message to others. This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed. Habakkuk 2:2-3 NLT

The God that we serve is a God of order and direction. When we go back into the Word of God we are shown that when God wanted to establish a covenant with His people, it was written down. How do you plan for your life? Do you write your vision down and pray over it? The Word of God is clear in the theme verse that a plan unwritten is directionless and has no set time frame for achievement. Writing down your plans is the greatest act of faith. What are you believing God for? If it’s marriage write down the partner you would like and pray for him or her. If you are preparing for your wedding write down the specifics, where you will get your suit, who shall make your dress, your guest list. It doesn’t matter that you are still single but a plan written down is a covenant with God.

The Word of God is clear in descriptions of things and events. Take for example the story of Goliath, the Bible was clear about how tall he was and that he was a champion of Gath. That’s the God we are dealing with, when you pray you have to be specific. If you’re praying for a car specify the model and specs, if you’re praying for a phone specify, don’t say oh when God answers my prayer may that model will be outdated. Why are you limiting God? He doesn’t answer slowly, He answereth by fire! If it’s business you want to venture into be specific about the line you wish to invest in, if it’s a job, start to write your job description and expected income.

Don’t live in the present. Recreate your world by imagining yourself where you want to be in your life. Imagine where you will be in 6 months, 1 year, 5 years and so on and write it down. Now begin to seal that covenant with God through continual, persistent and fervent prayer. Men are built by words and words are a declaration of our faith. God is moved by faith and plans laid out. If you didn’t have a vision for your life start now. God is limitless.
