Tafadzwa Mukaro is an Afro Jazz gospel musician who is dedicated and focused to spread music in a relatable way to both the young and old. She also has a passion of working with young people and teach them Christian values, developing their talents and the importance of multi skilling.
Tafadzwa Mukaro began her musical journey about 4 years ago in 2016 and since then she hasn’t stopped for anything. Lifestyle Magazine Zw managed to have a chat with Tafadzwa Mukaro and we talked more about her musical journey and more read on
When did you start doing music, and how has been the journey?
I started singing in 2014. It’s been a great journey of self-discovery as a singer and song writer. I believe God has guided me through the journey and enabled me to continue singing by providing the resources and the songs to continue recording to share the good news of Jesus and the goodness of God with everyone.
Can you tell us about the past projects you have released and how many albums do you have to your name?
In 2014 I released an album called “Mwari” https://t.co/OBrrVYYlMr the album carried the song “Mhinduro” which received very good airplay and was number two on Star FM top 50 Gospel Greats. I then did Tomurumbidza my second album in 2015. I did singles whose album Vanondichengeta https://t.co/RFV6NpX8f0 and i had a collaboration with Bethen Pasinawako Ngolomi and Kudzi Nyakudya on title song Vanondichengeta. I was quite humbled same year to receive a nomination as Best Female artist in the PERMICAN gospel awards. It was an honour that my work was being recognized.
You recently released a single titled Mweya Mutsvene, in your own words what is the song all about?
Mweya Mutsvene is a plea to the Holy Spirit to heal someone with a problems leading broken heart. Many people suffer from stress leading to depression. It ultimately affects mental health. The song talks of how the Holy Spirit assists us and is there to hear our problems when people don’t understand, and also the Holy Spirit intercedes on our behalf in prayer to God when we too weak to pray for ourselves
On the song you featured Baba Manyeruke, how was the experience working with him?
It was an amazing experience. Baba Manyeruke has a wealth of experience in gospel music. He is a very disciplined and dedicated musician. I was humbled by the drive and dedication that he showed towards the collaboration and the ideas he had in ensuring it was a success. I learnt so much about creativity in composing songs from him, that one should be very dedicated and prayerful when composing music.
Any upcoming projects we should look forward to?
Already working on another single to be released end of year and also will be doing more of Facebook live shows. I did my Facebook live and it was such an experience.

As Tafadzwa Mukaro Music my main mission is to spread music in a relatable way to both the young and old. I also have a passion of working with young people and teach them Christian values, developing their talents and the importance of multi skilling.
